It was officially announced at a press conference held today (Feb 8) that the Chinese electric powered two-wheel e-vehicle manufacturer, Yadea, has become the Official Asian Supporter of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Yadea is the first ever electric two-wheel vehicle brand to act as a FIFA World Cup Regional Supporter. As of now, the Chinese companies confirmed as Partner/Sponsor/Regional Supporter of the 2018 FIFA World Cup includes Wanda Group, Vivo, Mengniu Group, Hisense and Yadea.
Under this partnership, Yadea captures the rights to use the FIFA World Cup name, logos and other brand association rights. Meanwhile, Yadea’s logo will be featured on the LED billboards in the World Cup stadiums, on tournament tickets, on the backdrops of the tournaments press conferences and other important World Cup related situations.
Yadea has also planned a series marketing campaigns leveraging this partnership with the 2018 FIFA World Cup, such as launching a World Cup limited edition electric scooters and sweepstakes for 2018 FIFA World Cup tickets.
Yadea’s Co-President Liu Yeming stated that “to sponsor the FIFA World Cup, the most-watched sports event around the world, is in line with Yadea’s international strategy and high-end positioning strategy.”
FIFA’s CCO Philippe Le Floc’h also expressed that “Yadea has great influence among the young and the brand represents a greener and more sustainable lifestyle, which are highly important to FIFA.”
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, Yadea is one of the leading manufacturers of electric two-wheel vehicles in China.
Yadea’s major business is composed of design, research and development, manufacturing and sales of two-wheel vehicles (including electric scooters, electric motorcycles and e-bikes). Currently, Yadea exports its products to over 50 countries.
