December 12: The Chinese Basketball Association League (Beijing) Sports Co., Ltd. (CBA Company) has signed a strategic partnership with the National Basketball League (NBL), a professional men's basketball league in Australia and New Zealand.
The signing ceremony was attended by Ma Guoli, advisor to the chairman of the CBA Company, Zhang Xiong, General Manager of the CBA Company, Jiang Jian, along with the General Commercial Manager of the CBA Company and Andrew Vlahov, the CEO of RV Sport.
The partnership was signed in front of Ms. Maree Ringland, Counsellor of Public Affairs and Culture at the Australian Embassy in Beijing and Adrienne Erickson, a cultural officer at the at the Australian Embassy in Beijing.
Under the terms of their partnership, the two sides will promote idea exchanges in commercial development, market-based operations and local player fostering. They also have plans to create top international basketball invitational tournaments as well as carry out in-depth cooperation regarding coaches, referees and youth training.
RV Sport has been named as the marketing and coordinating agency for the CBA-NBA strategic partnerships.
Last month, the CBA company partnered with Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL).
