December 7, Lhasa: The philanthropic campaign, Live Your Goals, created by FIFA has been launched in Lhasa, Tibet.
Launched in 2011, Live Your Goals aims to engage more young girls and women to become interested in football and inspire them to play the game for themselves. When the campaign went live in Lhasa, activities featured futsal games and relay races, where the girls needed to pass the ball as they ran. Girls who took part in this campaign expressed their enthusiasm to Chinanews.com in an interview.
Lhasa had been prioritized as one of the cities to develop campus football. Up to now, 51 schools in Lhasa covering primary, middle and high schools have seen the creation of campus football programs.
Over four years since the Live Your Goals campaign was launched, FIFA has been providing support to member associations who have implemented the Live Your Goals campaign by helping them with branding, communications and concept development as well as providing financial assistance.
