Le Sports and Tencent Interactive Entertainment on Wednesday (18th May) announced a wide-ranging partnership on EA Sports FIFA Online 3.
Under the agreement, the two sides will work together in e-sports rights development, event organising, live coverage, content output and star making. In addition, the two parties will organise a FIFA Online 3 tournament following the structure of UEFA Euro 2016.
24 players will compete for the championship in four Chinese cities from 18th June with the final being played at Le Sports Centre, formerly the Mastercard Centre, at the same time as the EUFA Euro 2016 Final.
Speaking of the partnership, Le Sports Chief Content Officer (CCO) Liu Jianhong said,” Le Sports has a unique all-round industry supply chain in soccer within China and Tencent Interactive Entertainment is a leader in e-sports. I’m looking forward to (seeing) the partnership between the two parties set an example for integrated innovation between the soccer industry and e-sports.”
