December 6: The eSports Association Hong Kong (EAHK) has announced that it will host the first “K11 Chinese eSports Games”, working together with the shopping mall K11 and China’s General Administration of Sport (CGAS). It will be the first ever eSports event hosted by the CGAS in Hong Kong since eSports was added to the official sports program of the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
From January 5-7 2018, this event will take place in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. With a total prize of HKD 350k, this event will feature 16 teams from China mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. League of Legends (LOL), FIFA 18, CS:GO and Clash Royale have been confirmed on the official program of this eSports event.
Reportedly, Hong Kong qualifiers for FIFA 18 and Clash Royale will begin on December 17, while qualifiers for CS:GO will kick off on December 26. The winning team at the Hong Kong League of Legends Championship will represent Hong Kong at the event.
The champions of each preliminary round of the four games will participate in the K11 Chinese eSports Games and will travel to Shenzhen for further competitions.
