The two sides will work closely to develop the Jimo Hot Spring Tianheng sports recreational town. They will also work to implement a pilot project to be included in the first sports and recreational towns listed by the Chinese General Administration of Sport (CGAS).
The local government aims to use the 30-billion-yuan project to create a world-leading sports recreational town by combining sports events, national fitness, education & training, endowment & health, and entertainment & tourism.
The project, which uses the strategy of Two Centers and Two Belts, will consist of five functional zones, including the outdoor sports center, the sporting events center, the sports industry innovation center, the sports cultural creation center and the supporting services center.
The two sides also have plans to set up a 5-billion-yuan sports industry development fund to introduce international partners like IMG, AEG, Nederlander Worldwide Entertainment and Jumeirah Hotel Group.
