Dongfeng Renault, as part of a new sports sponsorship deal, have undertaken a new sports marketing campaign. From 2017 to 2019, the joint venture automobile manufacturer will act as the title sponsor of the Chinese Football Association (CFA) Women’s Super Cup.
This sponsorship deal will allow Kadjar, the first model manufactured by this Chinese joint venture company in 2016, to become the official vehicle of the game.
After the signing of the deal, the first marketing campaign of this new sponsorship was initiated with Dongfeng Renault inviting 11 key players of the 武汉江大女足队 (Wuhan Jiangda Nvzu, literally translated as Wuhan Jianghan University Women’s Football Club) to visit their headquarters in Wuhan, Hubei Province. Representatives from the CFA, Jianghan University and Wuhan Football Association also attended alongside officials from the club.
The CFA Women’s Super Cup is a premier football competition organized by the CFA for womens football clubs in China, with the champions of the Chinese Women’s Super League playing against the Chinese Women’s Football Champions.
Wuhan Jianghan University Women’s Football Club are the current second-tier champions of the women’s football league in China, giving them promotion to the 2017/18 WCSL.
As the latest joint venture automobile manufacturer in China, Dongfeng Renault has announced it will sponsor some high-quality sports events including the Wuhan Marathon and the 2019 Military World Games which will take place in Wuhan.
