The Chinese Basketball Association announced a three-year deal with Osports (Beijing) Culture Media as the league’s exclusive official image partner on Wednesday.
The amount of the sponsorship was not disclosed by the two parties. Over the next three seasons, Osports will take photos of CBA matches, training and activities. The company will also be responsible for group portrait photos of CBA clubs and portraits of all the CBA players after the new CBA season opens on October 21.
Founded in 2004, Osports has been the official exclusive official image partner of the CBA, the Women's Chinese Basketball Association and the Chinese National Basketball Team for five years before another Chinese photo company Visual China Group signed a two-year deal with the CBA in 2015.
Currently, Osports is the official image providers of several Chinese basketball clubs, including Beijing Ducks, Zhejiang Guangsha, Liaoning Flying Leopards and Shenzhen Leopards. It is also the official image partner of some Chinese Super League clubs, including Changchun Yatai, Shanghai SIPG, Hebei China Fortune, Liaoning Hongyun and Luneng Taishan.
Besides its main sports photo business, Osports has also set up a sports agency with several CBA foreign players, including Shavlik Randolph of Beijing Fly Dragons, Sonny Weems of Zhejiang Golden Bulls and Andrew Nicholson of Guangdong Southern Tigers.
