P&G kicked off their annual sports campaign “2017: Year of Happy Sports”, for 200 P&G Hope Schools around China. These Hope Schools were built by P&G to help needy children in poverty-stricken rural areas to have better access to education. At the campaign’s launch ceremony hosted in Shanghai, a special football event was organized and FC Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski attended.
Through this campaign, children of 200 P&G Hope Schools will receive more opportunities to participate in sport. Hosted by P&G, FC Bayern Munich and Metro Mall, the campaign’s launch ceremony included a football training activity led by Bayern’s youth training coach Thomas Dollner. 20 pupils from P&G Hope School in Shandong Province participated in this special soccer training activity.
Robert Lewandowski’s appearance triggered enthusiasm among the ceremony’s audience while also sharing his football experience as a member of a championship winning team and giving his full support to this sports campaign. He also gave out the awards to the pupils who won the soccer activities.
