July 24: iQiyi Sports, the sports arm of China's largest online video platform, has announced it is to partner with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) as the latter’s exclusive new media partner in Mainland China from 2017 to 2020.
Starting on July 24 this overall cooperation between iQiyi Sports and ATP will see iQiyi stream ATP’s men‘s tennis events each week. Users can now watch these tennis tournaments via PCs, handsets and Internet TVs. Annually, over 3000 hours of the top men’s tennis events will be streamed by iQiyi Sports, along with a weekly ATP TV show and behind-the-scene videos about ATP’s events, including 9 ATP Tour World Masters, 13 ATP 500 tournaments, the ATP World Tour Finals and ATP 250 tournaments.
Launched in August 2012, iQiyi Sports has a portfolio of partnerships with events and organizations in tennis, golf, American football, equestrian, racing and extreme sports. Tennis is one of iQiyi Sports' core areas in which they have bagged exclusive video rights (in mainland China) partnering with tournaments such as the Australian Open and the China Open, as well as associations with the ATP and the WTA.
