Chinese-Taiwanese badminton equipment manufacturers VICTOR have signed a 5-year contract with Badminton Denmark, the national governing body for the sport of badminton in Denmark.
This partnership will see the Denmark national team members wear VICTOR designed team apparel while competing in international team championships and other tournaments and events such as The Sudirman Cup, Thomas Cup and Uber Cup. Meanwhile, VICTOR will also act as the official equipment sponsor of the Denmark national badminton team. Following this partnership, the Denmark national team becomes the third national-sponsored team on VICTOR’s roster, following similar deals with South Korea and Malaysia national teams.
Alongside the national team, VICTOR has also bagged the second-tier title sponsorship rights of the Denmark Open, which will be renamed the “Danisa Denmark Open presented by VICTOR”.
Denmark‘s national badminton team is one of the strongest badminton teams around the world with 8 Thomas Cup, 3 Uber Cup and 2 Sudirman runners-up titles. Having topped the podium at the Thomas Cup in 2016, the Denmark national team became the first European team to capture these championships. With an 82-year history, the Denmark Open is one of the top tournaments in the BWF World Super Series where world-class players compete every year.
