On December 13th, eHi Car Services, a car rental platform in China, announced that it has established a long-term partnership with NBA China. It will be a partner of NBA China in official market cooperation and car rental services.
Meanwhile, it has signed up NBA Star Stephen Curry as its spokesperson. It is said that the cost of this collaboration will be 8 million dollars over three years.
eHI is also the first market partner of NBA China in the car rental services sector. Its cooperation with NBA China and Stephen Curry will help eHI expand in the Chinese market. It will focus on its cooperation rights and interests in China to better communicate with target consumers in China by means of its status as the partner of NBA China.
As one of the largest car rental services platforms in China, eHI was founded in January 2006 and, in November 2014, became China’s first car rental services company to be listed on the NYSE (New York Stock Exchange). Along with the fast development of the Chinese economy, the competition in the car rental markets is becoming increasingly fierce. Sports marketing is one effective way to stand out from competitors.
