On 3rd May, 2017, telecommunication manufacturer, the ZTE Corporation, renewed a commercial agreement with the Spanish football club Sevilla for an additional two years.
According to the agreement, over the next two years, ZTE will continue to be the official technology partner and official smartphone supplier of Sevilla. The company will also have the rights to show ZTE’s logo on Sevilla tickets and official goods as well as the billboards at the Sevilla stadium. Plus they will have the benefit of communicating and interacting with the Sevilla’s fans.
ZTE has been Sevilla’s partner since 2016, which has alloweds ZTE to achieve great marketing success in Spain. According to SportsMoney, ZTE tripled their annual sales in the Spanish market last year. ZTE’s market share in Spain has been over 10% for a long time. During this period, many types of ZTE’s handsets have been launched in the European market.
As one of the most famous football clubs in the world, Sevilla has won several Spanish and European titles in recent years, including runners-up in the Primera División de España(La Liga) and several UEFA competitions. In fact, they were the Europa League champions in the 2015-16 season.
“We are glad to promote our cooperation with Sevilla as their official technology partner, because we share the same values,” said Jacky Zhang, CEO of ZTE Mobile EMEA & APAC.“We will support Sevilla as we always do. Also, we will deliver the technological experience of ZTE’s handsets to more European consumers by conducting various interactive activities with them.”
