Mainz 05 International Fussball Academy settles in Guizhou University of Finance and Economics

The Mainz 05 International Fussball Academy has officially settled in Guizhou University of Finance and Economics in which an opening ceremony was held on April 16th. Located in the Huaxi district of the Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, the Mainz 05 International Fussball Academy is not just the first professional football training base in Guizhou but is also the first football training base jointly built in China by a Chinese university and a German professional football club.

This academy has been established by Guizhou University of Finance and Economics, Mainz 05 and Guizhou Funsport Co. Ltd. The three parties will work together to promote the development of youth football in the Guizhou area. In the future the academy will focus on developing youth football training, coach training,  international football interchange activities etc.

Outstanding students of this academy, who have finished their training on time, will be recommended to go to Germany to attend juvenile soccer trials and will be awarded a certificate from Mainz 05. As well as this the academy will provide training for football coaches and will select outstanding coaches to go to Germany for further training. The academy will also hold invitation tournaments, featuring youth football teams from surrounding countries, during holiday periods.
