The list of the 2016 national sports industry bases has recently been published and approved, with 11 national sports industry demonstration bases, 22 national sports industry demonstration organizations and 12 national sports industry demonstration projects becoming new members of the “national team” of the sports industry.
Based on the National Sports Industry Bases Management Measures (Draft) and The Notice on Further Improving the Development of National Sports Industry Bases by the General Administration of Sport, all the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities have submitted recommendation lists. The final results come following a process of material examination, expert review, on-site assessment and comprehensive evaluation.
The 11 national sports industry demonstration bases are: Chongli, Xujiahui (002561.SH), Wujin, Tuanpo, Urumqi, Yixing, Hexi Corridor (the country area), Wansheng Economic Development Zone, Yongkang, Rizhao Economic Development Zone and Beijing Olympic Park.
The 22 national sports industry demonstration organizations include Lander Sports Development Co., Ltd. (LANDER SPORTS, 000558.SH), Shuhua Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Jinling Sports Equipment Co. Ltd. and Xiamen R&B Marina Co. Ltd. (XIAMEN PORT DEVELOPMENT, 000905.SH).
The 12 national sports industry demonstration projects include popular sports projects like marathon, cycling and auto sports, as well as boutique projects that emphasize ecology and highlight regional features.
