Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

On Jan 1st, Beijing held a press briefing on the National Fitness Plan (2016-2020), announcing the National Fitness Plan for Beijing citizens from 2016 to 2020.
By 2020, according to the plan, the number of Beijing citizens who take part in sports at least once a week will have reached 12 million, the number of citizens who often take part in sports will have reached 10 million, and over 93% of citizens will have reached the standard health rate.
With regard to ice and snow sports, the number of citizens who participate in these is expected to have reached 5 million. In addition, all sports fields and facilities will be upgraded, with the per capita sports area maintained at 2.25 square meters.
In the press briefing, they also revealed other goals: encouraging the development of sports organizations, propelling the development of fitness in cities and towns simultaneously, strengthening cooperation and exchanges on national fitness between Beijing, Tianjin & Hebei and enhancing international communication.
