China Unicom announced on December 26 its three-part smart Beijing 2022 strategy in Beijing.
The first part of the strategy involves services for Beijing 2022. China Unicom is going to invest over CNY1.5bn in upgrading and building 5G telecommunication networks to empower exemplary user experiences, good-quality event services and smart venue operations. It will create smart application platforms that are empowered by 5G for Beijing 2022, including 360 degree live broadcast, VR immersions, in-venue medical services etc.
On the other hand, as the exclusive telecommunication services partner of Beijing 2022, China Unicom plan to explore more smart solutions for Beijing 2022, and apply these smart solutions to wider areas, such as smart cities and media.
Finally, they will be dedicated to raising their competitiveness and corporate influences through the partnership, for example, to enhance brand image, highlight partnership value, improve internal management, build a professional team and drive the development of corporate culture.
