On Christmas Day 2016, a commercial to celebrate the Chinese New Year and featuring the NBA stars who have signed for PEAK starts to be shown on LCD screen in Times Square, New York City.
In the advertisement, Dwight Howard and Tony Parker, the two NBA stars signed for PEAK, expressed their New Year greetings to people all over the world in Chinese. It was the fourth consecutive year of PEAK’s New Year celebration video being shown in Times Square.
PEAK delisted from the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) in 2016. The CEO of PEAK, Xu Zhihua said, “It is only the first step of privatization.” PEAK will dabble in multiple fields such as creating its own sports events, sports training, sports big data, sports information and social networks, to build the PEAK sports industry ecosystem.
The “Maritime Silk Road” Tour of Quanzhou Bay 2016, an event organized by PEAK sports, took place from October 14th to 16th, 2016.
