On Christmas Eve, the UK Daily Mirror published an article about Oscar transferring from Chelsea FC to Shanghai SIPG FC. His weekly wage is set to be £400,000, moving him into second place on the players’ income list. But who is the highest earner on the list?
The answer comes out at the end of the article - Argentina Striker, Carlos Tévez. He will be the best-paid player in the world if he transfers to Shanghai Shenhua. The Daily Mirror strongly suggested that Tévez has already completed the move.
On this list, there are four more football players who are looking for gold in China. Givanildo Hulk of Shanghai SIPG FC ranks No.6 with a weekly wage of £320,000; Graziano Pellè of Shandong Luneng Taishan FC ranks No.8 with £290,000; Asamoah Gyan has gone on loan to Al Ahli UAE from Shanghai SIPG FC and ranks No.15 with a weekly salary of £227,000; finally Ezequiel Lavezzi of Hebei China Fortune FC ranks No.17 with weekly earnings of £220,000.
