Future of Sport: A Global Sports Week x Viva Technology Collaboration, Will Open in June 14

On December 7th, a press conference announcing details of the 2017 Gree·China Cup International Football Championship was held in Beijing. The chairman of the Chinese Football Association (Cai Zhenhua), the Vice Chairman and Secretary General (Zhang Jian) and the Chairman of the Board of the Wanda Group (Wang jianlin) attended the press conference. The schedule of matches has been released and the first game China v Iceland, will be played on January 10th.
The 2017 Gree · China Cup International Football Championship is co-sponsored by the Chinese Football Association(CFA), the Guangxi Sports Bureau, the Nanning government and the Wanda Group. The organizing committee has officially released the emblems, trophies, title sponsors, participating teams and ticket services.
Currently, the 3 foreign teams participating in this China Cup are included in the TOP 25 in terms of international ranking, which proves that they are world-class teams. Chile are ranked fourth and have won the last two Copa América championships. Croatia are ranked fourteenth and have many world-class players at their disposal. The Iceland team has risen to 21st place in the rankings for its excellent performance in UEFA European Football Championship.
