Recently, the Chess and Poker Events Management Center of the General Administration of Sport officially launched the China Competitive Poker Championship (CCPC), which means that the poker competition was officially recognized by the state and became an intellectual sports event. Xianlaihuyu, Tencent, Sina and another nine platforms for chess and poker competitions became the initial strategic partners of the CCPC.
The tournament will be hosted by the General Administration of Sport. It is the most authoritative state-level event in terms of poker. Chen Zelan, deputy director of the Chess and Poker Events Management Center of China, said that the CCPC is of landmark significance.
The CCPC has a strict examination mechanism of potential contractors. Xianlaihuyu has been appointed by the General Administration of Sport as the main contractor. It owns about 10 types of chess and poker products and has a wide user base across the country. By taking advantage of the platform, the tournament can be better promoted.
Tan Yan, the director of Xianlaihuyu’s R & D Center, stated that the company is focused on the market development of " casual games with local characteristics." Becoming one of the organizers of the CCPC, the company hoped that it would rely on its experience in technology and operations to create a national poker tournament for gaming enthusiasts.
