Lang Ping, chief coach of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team, attended TCL’s autumn 2016 launch in Guangzhou Asian Games City and acted as spokesperson for the high-end sub-brand of TCL, XESS.
At the news conference, Lang and the chairman of TCL, Li Dongsheng, recalled some touching moments from their 21 year friendship. Li Dongsheng backed Lang Ping by funding women’s volleyball and founding the TCL Langping Volleyball Foundation during hard times at TCL.
The company was founded in1981 at a time when the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team were after winning five consecutive championships. The spirit of women’s volleyball inspired him and this helped TCL grow into an international enterprise from an individual workshop 35 years ago.
Lang Ping believes that TCL’s unremitting spirit of constantly striving for improvement coincides with that of the Chinese Women’s Volleyball Team. She hopes that TCL can have a bright future and wants to join with TCL in promoting their common cause.
