At a press conference held on June 13 in Dalian, China, Chinese smart product manufacturer TCL renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Chinese men’s basketball team kicking off the ninth year of their partnership which is due to expire on December 31, 2018.
TCL first made their step into basketball sponsorship in 2009 when they partnered with Team China's men’s basketball and became a CBA sponsor. In 2011, TCL became the main sponsor of the Chinese men’s basketball team, with the TCL logo featuring on the players’ jerseys.
Over the past 8 years, TCL has been supporting Chinese basketball by sponsoring the national men’s team, CBA league, basketball youth training and amateur basketball. The TCL Basketball Caravan is one of the marketing activities carried out by TCL to promote amateur basketball in China with TCL even recruiting talented 10-year old children to build the “TCL Kids CBA” with the goal of discovering and developing young Chinese basketball talent.
