On Tuesday last in Guangzhou, Lang Ping, head coach of THE China women’s national volleyball team, signed an agreement with the Evergrande Life Assurance Co. Ltd (ELAC) to become its global brand ambassador.
“Having been engaged in volleyball for 43 years, I know what a significant impact injuries can bring to athletes’ careers and thus understand the great importance of insurance to athletes. Charity is just a temporary thing. Only insurance can provide a lifetime guarantee,” said Lang.
This is the first time Lang has ever endorsed an insurance company, and she has also become the first head coach of the national team to represent an insurance company. Her positive image which was reinforced during the Rio Olympics coincides with the ideas of professionalism, integrity and authenticity advocated by ELAC.
Evergrande Group announced its entrance into the insurance industry on 22nd November, 2015. It has moved up 26 places in the rankings of nationwide insurance companies within a year. With the sound momentum of development, ELAC will strive to develop community insurance and provide more than 4 million people with premium insurance. Moreover, it will expand pension insurance so that life insurance-centered industrial clusters can be formed.
