Interview with Thomas Lund: to follow new trends and bring younger generations to the sport

The 2016 Evergrande World Snooker China Championship recently hosted a press conference in the Evergrande Haishang Venice in Shanghai.The Championship is projected to run from November 1-5 in the Guangzhou Gymnasium. Sixty four players will take part in the championship, including the top 16 players in World Snooker. Mark Selby, who is ranked No.1 in the world, is to become the ambassador for the Championship, alongside local Chinese player Ding Junhui.
“Successfully hosting the championship contributes to the joint cooperation between CBSA and Evergrande”, Jason Ferguson, World Snooker chairman stated at the conference. He then added that “Evergrande, as a member of Fortune 500, will bring a positive impact to the development of Snooker”.
Industry insiders believe Evergrande bring quality and modern ideas to the administration and management of the sports industry, which in turn will promote the development of Snooker in China.
