When New tournaments Meets New Tech, the Old Friend of Football Has New Stories

Tencent Sports has obtained the League Pass (LP) copyright of the NBA after paying another 200 million RMB for the next four seasons, according to a recent Chinese report. It means that Tencent Sports will have the broadcasting rights of the whole 1230 NBA games each season.
Last season, Tencent Sports introduced its own pay-to-watch systems. There were three payment options:30RMB/ Month, 88RMB/3 Months and 298RMB/Year. This year it is very likely to promote new choices for NBA fans. For example, it will design a bespoke viewership package for Warrior fans to watch all the Warrior games in a season.
However, there will be some problems for Tencent Sports. Sometimes there will be more than ten games in a single day. Each game needs at least one commentator and a broadcasting studio. The more games there are, the busier Tencent Sports staff will be. But we are still confident that Tencent Sports will bring us more joy and surprises.
