Soccer World China has reportedly agreed a two-year partnership deal with English Premier League giants Manchester City FC, according to a report on Lanxiong.
The deal will see Soccer World China become the non-professional soccer partner of Manchester City in China. Under the agreement, the two sides will work together on brands, youth training and promotional campaigns.
They have launched a new joint logo which will be displayed at Soccer World’s sports centres in China. In addition, Manchester City will send coaches to China to help train Soccer World’s trainers. Furthermore, Soccer World will select a group of juniors and send them to Manchester City where they will receive training and education. As well as promotional campaigns, City players will appear at Soccer World centres during their China Tour this summer.
“Youth training in the Chinese soccer industry leaves a lot to be desired,” said Fan Chengen, CEO of Soccer World China.
“China is not lacking in young talents, but such fine institutions as the Chinese soccer clubs are not doing a good job. That’s why we would prefer to work with Manchester City.”
