SlamBall China has recently agreed a strategic basketball deal with Peking University in Beijing.
The deal will see SlamBall China and Peking University collaborate on promotions in training, education and events. As part of the agreement the two parties will work together to set up a joint Peking University - SlamBall Specific Development Fund as well as an office for SlamBall at Peking University. The two sides are also planning to build two SlamBall courts by September.
With the new courts at Peking University, the SlamBall Championship of Beijing will start in November, according to SlamBall China President and CEO Michael Sun.
Li Ning, head of the Physical Education Department at Peking University, said “SlamBall is a new sport which is a joy to watch and easy to participate in. We decided to introduce this sport into Peking University after looking into it.”
SlamBall, which originated in the USA, is a form of basketball played on trampolines. SlamBall China has managed to establish university championships in four Chinese cities, namely Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Wuhan.
