Last month (May, 2016) The English Premier League side West Bromwich Albion FC announced K8 Group, an online entertainment company, as their shirt sponsor for next season’s Premier League (2016/17). WBA marketing disclosed that the shirt sponsorship agreement will run for an initial two-year period.
K8 Group representatives stated that the shirt sponsorship was needed in order to extend K8 Group’s reach and engagement with new customers.
On signing the agreement with West Bromwich Albion Vincent Huang, COO of K8 Group, said: “K8 Group has had a long standing interest in working with a Premier League club and finally we are here with one of the most respected clubs in the Premier League.”
“This partnership is delivered as a true partnership for both parties. We are working on a joint marketing plan that will focus on raising awareness of K8 Group in the UK whilst also ensuring the development of the West Bromwich Albion brand in Asia. ”
