Three executives of Guangzhou Evergrande and Taobao FC, including its current president, have resigned, said the club in a official announcement on Monday.
As stated in the announcement, Ke Peng, president of the club, Mai Jianle, vice general manager, and Zhang Hongping, member of the board submitted the resignation due to "personal reasons".
According to Xinhua News, the transformation of the executives will not affect the operation of the club.
Rumours said that Liu Yongzhuo, former president of the club during 2010-2014, may take charge of the club again, and Ke could help the club in advertisement and media relations. However, no speculations above have been confirmed by Evergrande.
In addition, the sponsorship deals with Dongfeng Nissan, Ichi More and CLEAR have expired by the end of this January. The club has removed their logos from its official website. The remaining sponsors are Evergrande Ice Fountain, Nike, 21cn and VASTO. It is said that the club has almost finalized new lucrative sponsorship deal(s), which will be disclosed before the new season.
