The Badminton World Federation (BWF) launched its Chinese version website to keep abreast with the Mandarin-speaking badminton fans throughout the world.
In a statement, BWF Secretary General, Thomas Lund said it was important for BWF to engage with this segment of the fans and offer greater access to the world of top-flight badminton so as to get all the latest info at their fingertips.
"This latest development completes another component of BWF's network of website which cater to specific audiences within badminton's global community and also to communicate badminton news in a more detailed manner to a diverse fan base," he said.
Lund said the demand for information about various aspects of the sport was high and the BWF was addressing the demand to deliver better information flow to different audiences.
"Each site targets a specific sector within our vast badminton community by ensuring that we use enhanced online experience to cater young generations of fans who predominantly follow the sport on mobile devices," he said.
Badminton fans may check out the official website for BWF Chinese at www.bwfbadminton.cn.
