The Hangzhou Greentown Football Club has finalized a strategic agreement with Janpan-based Imabari FC, which will see the two sides seek all-round cooperation in terms of youth training.
Okada Takeshi, former manager of the Hangzhou club, has extended his contract to continue work as the teenage traing advisor in Greentown. Okada resigned from Hangzhou on 5 November 2013 and has become a major stakeholder of Imabari FC since November 2014.
As Huang Dannong, executive of Greentown said, “it will be pleasant to co-operate with Okada’s team”. Under the agreement, Okada will lead Imabari coaches to help train Chinese coaches and young players.
Hangzhou Greentown Football Club is a professional Chinese football club that currently participates in the Chinese Super League division. The team is based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang and their home stadium is the Hangzhou Huanglong Stadium. The club's main investor is the Zhejiang-based Greentown China Holdings Limited company, which is owned by real estate tycoon Song Weiping.
