Nanjing-based Chinese technology firm Qbao, the sponsor of Real Sociedad FC and Rayo Vallecano, has extended its reach into Chinese amateur football after signing a strategic agreement with Guangdong Amateur Football Association as a sponsor of the Guangdong Union Cup.
Qbao announced the agreement at a press conference held on December 13 in the VILI International Hotel. Among the attendance were Deng Guohua, Guangdong Amateur Football Association (GAFA) president, Ke Yongxiang, Kelme China CEO, Huang Shenghua, Chinese Super League side Guangzhou R&F Football Club and other representatives from different amateur football associations within China.
The deal shows that Qbao has gained a foothold in Chinese amateur football to go with its presence in international professional football. Under the new agreement, Qbao will work hand in hand with GAFA in the running of future amateur football events in terms of the organization and operation of events as well as youth training.
Meanwhile, based on its partnership with Real Sociedad FC and Rayo Vallecano, Qbao will continue to push forward with football development from the grassroots level.
First staged in 2013, the Union Cup has become the most important amateur event in China after three years of development. The partnership with the Union Cup is a further expansion made by Qbao in the field of football as well as being a significant part of its strategy for youth training.
