Sichuan Men’s and Women’s Volleyball have signed a shirt sponsorship deal with the Chengdu-based High Wave Sports Corporation, according to information coming from the naming rights press conference held yesterday afternoon in Shuangliu, Sichuan.
High Wave Sports is a sportswear retailer and agent for sports brands including Nike, Adidas, Lining, Puma and Kappa. The sports company and the volleyball teams agreed that the company acquires the shirt sponsorship rights of the two teams for RMB 300 thousand. Additionally, there is a RMB 100 thousand bonus on offer for a team finishing fourth or better in the volleyball league.
Sichuan Men’s Volleyball team was ranked fifth in the league last season while the Women’s team has increased its strength in depth after bringing in two foreign players. The retailer has realized the potential of the teams, and so decided to finalize the sponsorship deal. Zhou Jianan, Vice President of Sichuan Institute of Sports Technology, said that the sponsorship will motivate the teams to achieve better results.
