Li Ning, a leading Chinese sportswear brand, has agreed a lucrative deal with Liuzhou Urban Construction Investment and Development Limited to establish a sports community in Liuzhou, Guangxi Province, China.
Under the plan, the yet to be constructed Liuzhou Lining Sports Community will be based around a sports park, which will accumulatively cost multi-billion yuan. Venues in the community will cater for the likes of sports training, sports events and sports tourism. It will also include a commercial complex for sports-based products.
More specifically, there will be soccer pitches, basketball courts and swimming pools alongside facilities for climbing, cycling and running within the community, according to the brand’s President Li Ning. As well as staging promotions, Li Ning will invite sports stars to the community with the aim of encouraging users to engage with sports.
The sports community will be located in the hometown of the former Olympic Champion and will cover an area of 115-170 acres.
