Hanergy Holding Group AZ signed a rooftop PV deal with AFAS Stadion in Alkmaar, providing clean energy that will far exceed AZ Alkmaar’s needs on weekdays. In accordance with the contract, Hanergy would manufacture altogether 1,725 panels placed on top of the stadium to provide some 250,000 kWh clean electric power annually, thus reducing about 142-ton carbon-dioxide emissions and accelerating the green sustainable development of the stadium.
AZ Alkmaar, a Dutch professional football club from Alkmaar and the Zaanstreek, has been devoted to sustainable development of the stadium. Its executive director Robert Eenhoorn appreciated this cooperation and saw it as a valuable opportunity for promoting clean energy.
Established in 1994, Hanergy is a Beijing-based multinational clean energy company as well as a world’s leading thin-film solar power company. Early in September this year, this company signed a cooperation framework agreement with Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Energy Sources in Jordan to propel the development of renewable energy in this country.
