China’s Letv Sports, or LeSports, have reached 5-year strategic partnership with International Equestrian Federation (FEI) on media rights to a series of core FEI events in Mainland China alongside Hong Kong and Macau.
Under the deal, the online sports streaming platform will hold the media rights of over 50 FEI events covering the likes of World Equestrian Games, World Cup Jumping, FEI World Cup Dressage etc. in mainland China and Hong Kong and Macau from 2015-2019.
The terms of the deal, however, were not disclosed.
In addition, Letv Sports also acquired the broadcast rights to air 2018 FEI World Cup through a range of channels.
As one of the leading sports broadcasters in China, Letv Sports have spent heavily on broadcast rights to top sports events in the past few months, of which the most prominent examples are 3-year deal to air EPL in Hong Kong.
