The Samsung-sponsored 2015 National Youth Campus football 15-day summer camp, kicked off in Qinhuangdao, China last Saturday.
In an effort to improve China’s youth development in soccer, Samsung Electronics provided training equipment and accommodation assistance to 557 youth players, referees and trainers during the course of the campaign.
Further to this sponsorship, the brand will also award those outstanding players and their schools with equipment when the camp ends.
In addition, the South Korea-based electronics supplier will also help organize an international youth football tournament, named The Samsung Cup, between Chinese and South Korean teams where as many as 48 football teams will compete for the title.
“Samsung Electronics has deep relationship with China’s sports and football, and pays particular attention to China’s youth football. As a strategic partner of this summer camp, Samsung would provide great efforts in both hardware and software services”, said Zhang Jian, marketing director of Samsung Electronics Great China.
