SPORTACCORD 2024 INSIGHTS: Sport’s Perfect Storm
23 May 2024 14:34
Intel announced today that it has signed endorsement deals with Chinese long jumper Li Jinzhe and sprinter Su Bingtian. The deals will see Li and Su become Intel’s new brand ambassadors.
The American multinational technology company made the decision because of the similarities between the two athletes and the brand. The lightness of Li Jizhe, who holds China’s long jump record and the quick speed of Su Bingtian, the first Chinese athlete to dip under 10 seconds for the 100m sprint, are what Intel strives for as a CPU producer.
“Signing the two athletes shows that we appreciate the core value of sportsmen, which is to break through limits,” Zhang Yipan, Intel China’s Manager of Marketing Communications said.
Li and Su will compete for China at the 2015 IAAF World Championships which will be hosted in Beijing between August 22 and 30.
