September 26: The National Sports Training Center (NSTC) has extended a strategic partnership with Japanese sports drink Pocari Sweat.
Pocari Sweat, launched in 1980 by Otsuka Pharmaceutical, has become a partner of the NSTC since it entered the Chinese market in 2003. Under the terms of their new deal, the beverage brand will continue to work as a supporting products supplier for Chinese national players.
The company also sponsored sporting events including the 2006 Doha Asian Games, the 2008 National University Games, the 2008 National Beach Volleyball Tour and the 2012 AFC Champions League.
As Lv Tiehang, deputy director of the NSTC, said, the standard diet for Chinese national players is quite strict, so they have been careful in choosing a sponsor. The 13-year partnership with Pocari Sweat is the best proof of the water brand’s relentless pursuit of high quality.
Several days ago, the NSTC has also named Angelalign, an invisible braces service provider, as one of its sponsors.
