Yesterday, Dalian Aerbin FC, a China League One football club was reported to be purchased by Dalian Yi Fang Group. Except the debt, the total costs of the acquisition was about 40 million RMB. When it comes to the striking purchase, people would always pay attention to Sun Xishuang, the actual stakeholder of Yi Fang.
Actually, Sun has another identity. He was the second stockholder of another enormous company in Dalian which is called Wanda Group. That is to say, Sun had a close connection with Wang Jianlin. Therefore, the public speculated that the purchase might be a symptom for Wang’s coming back to Chinese soccer league.
Before the purchase of Aerbin, Yi Fang had never set foot in the field of soccer. However, an office building of Yi Fang is once the site of Dalian Wanda FC which is created by Wang Jianlin. Since Wang quitted from Chinese football, Wanda FC was changed into Dalian Shide FC. In 2012, Dalian Shide FC was merged by Aerbin, and degraded from CSL before long. Now, the purchase of Aerbin by Yi Fang was regarded as the renaissance of Dalian football club.
It has been over ten years since Wang Jianlin served as the boss of Dalian Wanda FC. During the recent years, Wanda began to make investment in football again. In August 2011, for example, Wanda invited Camacho as the coach of Chinese football team. What’s more, in 2015, Wang purchased the shares of Atletico Madrid and finished the acquisition of Infront. All those facts revealed that Wanda have the ambition to make a difference in soccer.
Another news to prove that Wang Jianlin will come back to Chinese football league was that Shi Xueqing is going to become the general manager of Aerbin FC. It should be noted that Shi was the news spokesman of Wanda Group. Although there is no official statement to confirm that Wang will come back to Chinese football league, Wanda is believed to conduct its new action in Chinese football.
