Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Bayern Munich FC’s chairman, stated that the club would march into the market of China at full speed at the press conference to announce Gigaset, a leading vendors in technology and electronics, as an official Platinum partner.
The partnership will see Gigaset accompany Bayern Munich on its China tour from 16 to 24 July, during which the team will play three matches in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
China is a strategically important growth market for both sides because of the potential generated by the huge population size. For Bayern Munich particularly, Rummenigge agrees that China is the most important market as Chinese government have launched a football reform plan, which will bring momentum and policy for the sport.
As Bayern’s partners have all showed significant interests in China’s market, Rummenigge admitted Bayern is late to react but will speed up to enhance presences in China.
He also revealed at the conference that the club have fully prepared for the upcoming China tour.
