Quanjian complete full takeover of Tianjin Songjiang FC
Quanjian Group held a press conference yesterday to announce it had completed the full acquisition of Tianjin Songjiang FC who currently play in China League One.
It was also revealed at the press conference that Quanjian had signed young Chinese starlet Xiang Baixu from France’s Ligue 1 side Saint-Étienne. This takeover by Quanjian would see the club increase its transfer budget.
ShuYuhui, the president of Quanjian, outlined a developmental strategy for the club with critical priority being given to Tianjin Songjiang’s battle against relegation from China’s League One where they currently rank 13th, one point above the relegation zone.
But Shu has set an ambitious goal for the club. He aspires to win promotion to China’s top tier football league in the CSL 2015/16 season.
Sun Ke, China’s most expensive footballer, who was also present at the conference, agreed to return to his former club on loan.
