Football commentator Huang Jianxiang has announced that he plans to help middle and elementary schools around the country to train around 10,000 teachers to become soccer coaches for free.
Mr. Huang, one of the best-known sports commentators in China, is developing a sports app which is to be called Dongba Sports. He revealed his intentions at a conference held at Beijing Normal University (June 25 to 27), for which Dongba Sports was a co-organizer.
He wants this application to help the public get information on free sports venues and other related sports resources, in order to make these sports resources easily accessible to the public.
The app features complimentary soccer coaching training resources and “1RMB” football experiencing sessions. He also announced that he would adopt the Dutch football online-to-offline soccer coaches training system which would train 10,000 football coaches for free.
Huang said that he hoped to combine both official and grass-roots related football resources to develop large numbers of grass-roots soccer coaches.
