Hisense Named Official Partner of FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Last week the Chinese Football Association (CFA), the governing body of football in China, held a conference to discuss the setting up of a football league management council.
This follows the separation of the CFA from the general sports governing body last August, which meant the football association would henceforth have “absolute control” over its internal business. This move is the second attempt by the CFA to activate football reform and will give clubs more freedom to make choices in the future.
The council to-be, as an independent legal entity, will be empowered to participate in the management of the Chinese Super League and the China League. Instead of being a decision-maker, the CFA will act as a supervisor, by sending representatives to work in the council.
The future entity is expected to adopt a veto system, by adopting the management model of the English Premier League. In other words, each football club will have a voice in the council’s football business.
