Infront officially charged Sina for copyright violation

Infront sued Sina.com about their copyright violation. Infront Made an official claim of 1 million CNY to Sina.com .

According to the Infront, on August 30th, 2012, Infront signed CBA league business right agreement with China Basketball Association. Infront became the CBA Global Exclusive Partner. Infront claimed the exclusive right on CBA league, clubs and players` image. The Expiration Date will be on the 30 days after the end of 2016-17 season.

In December, 2014, Infront found a online game named “CBA Fantasy Basketball Manager”. The data was from CBA league, the game even used image of the players

Infront thought that Sina violated the copyright of the rightholder, in this case Infront. That damaged the interest of rightholder, therefore Infront asked the court to order Sina to stop the game immediately and deleted all the data and information about CBA, then compensate Infront for their loss. The case is in trial.
