The Bundesliga is coming to an end, and Wolfsburg is competing for the direct qualification of Champions League for next season. However Zhang Xizhe, who transferred to Wolfsburg last December showed up on Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition.
Zhang represented the club at the exhibition. Wolfsburg is owned by Volkswagen. Despite the transfer, Zhang has not played in any official games for Wolfsburg (Bundesliga, European League or Bund Cup). On 19th April, Wolfsburg was playing against Schalke 04 in Bundesliga, but surprisingly, Zhang showed up at the exhibition in Shanghai.
Wolfsburg claimed on the Sina Blog: it is Wolfsburg's honor to be invited to attend the 2015 Volkswagen Group Night. Principal Praig and Zhang interacted with the young players in Wolfsburg Football School. Volkswagen hopes to fulfill the football dream for the youth.
The public started to doubt the purpose of the transfer due to the attendance at exhibition. More and more thought that Wolfsburg just wants to develop Chinese market by buying Zhang.
