On January 9, Manchester City Football Club officially announced that it has become a global partner with Midea, the world's number one consumer appliances producer.
As a fortune 500 company, Midea is well known in China, and its reputation in the international market has grown over recent years. In the past two years, Midea has been looking for suitable partners to escalate their brand. Midea’s concept of continuous progress and the pursuit of transcendence matches perfectly with Manchester City’s philosophy and approach to innovation and Midea’s insistence on focusing on users and providing users with perfect and friendly solutions.
Omar Berrada, Chef Operating Officer for Manchester City Football Club, commented:” It is very important for us to work together with Midea, which has a lot in common in brand concept and innovative thinking.” Meanwhile, Brando Brandstaeter, Head of Brand & Communications at Midea’s International Business Division said :” we are confident that the synergy between the two brands will take us to a whole new level.”
Over the next few months of the 2019/20 English Premiership season, Midea will be displayed throughout the Etihad Stadium, the home of Manchester City. In addition, Midea plans to develop a series of creative digital marketing activities to make the 2019 / 2020 season more memorable and greatly improve the consumer awareness of Midea in the international market.
