The CEO of Huawei for Caribbean Office Bruce Guo (L) receives a T-shirt from the President of the Panamanian Federation of Football (FEPAFUT) Pedro Chaluja during a press conference in Panama City, capital of Panama, on March 24, 2015. The Chinese company of Telecommunications Huawei Technologies pledged on Tuesday to sponsor for four years to the football national teams of Panama, and the Panamanian Football League.
In 2014, the Chinese telecommunication giant started their “sports plan”, Atletico Madrid , Ajax Cape Town, NFL Washington Redskins, Santos from Brazil all became affiliated with the mobile phone manufacturer in 2014 and Benfica in 2015. PSG, Arsenal, PSG, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich,Schalke 04 also built partnership with Huawei in these years. Huawei`s LOGO even was on the Atletico Madrid`s shirt.
But so far, Huawei never becomes partner with any National Team. Panama, as a country in Central America, never played in World Cup before. That makes Huawei`s business purpose even clear.
