The WTA Finals Shenzhen have signed a multi-year title sponsor, Shiseido. The news was revealed at a press announcement event held on July 17 in Shenzhen.
Shiseido WTA Finals 2019 will take place from October 27 to November 3 at the CR Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.
President of Shiseido China said at the press event that Shiseido’s concept of “empowering women” matches very well with WTA’s principle of creating equal opportunities for women. He said that they hope to contribute to society by promoting sports.
Shiseido WTA Finals Shenzhen is held by Gemdale and is contracted to take place in Shenzhen, China for ten years from 2019 to 2028. Singapore was the previous home for the WTA Finals for many years before Shenzhen won the rights to host the event in January 2018.
